Bend Equity Project is a collaborative group of people that are learning through listening and through action. We strive to be the connective tissue that empowers historically excluded communities and community members to self advocate. Our goals include supporting human rights efforts, connecting those in need with legal aid, sourcing and cooking meals, providing shelters, and providing people with equal access to resources through mutual aid.
We believe we are all responsible for decolonizing by dismantling the often racist systems that undermine the inherent value of every human, and must work within our communities to create new equitable and sustainable systems. We believe that all of this is possible by building communities and trust, by keeping open communication, and through an understanding that every human has value and that we all have things to learn from one another.
